As with many other sports, tennis is an active game in which players constantly move around and strike a moving ball.  Consequently, Avenue LTC and the management committee of the club cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage to clothing or other property that may occur on or around the tennis courts.  All players have a personal responsibility to offer a duty of care to others around them at the club.  In addition, all members and visitors to Avenue LTC should be aware that they enter the premises and carry out all activities on the premises at their own risk.  Parents of children coming to the club must take full responsibility for their children unless they are placed in direct supervisory care of a suitable adult at the club.  For safety reasons, we kindly request that all children are brought onto the premises to the clubhouse area by an authorised parent or guardian as opposed to being dropped off outside the club premises.  Similarly, we would also ask that parents/guardians come onto the club premises to collect children rather than ask their children to meet them outside. Other than the club coach and catering staff, no one is allowed to drive a car on the club premises unless carrying disabled/elderly people or loading/unloading goods or equipment at the clubhouse.  Those people who are allowed to drive onto the premises on this basis shall do so at walking pace and no faster than 5 miles per hour.
