Each year we receive entries to the Burnham Open from all over the country and even beyond.  The Open is a very popular tournament and over the years has been graced by many rising stars of their era including Andrew Castle, Jo Durie and John Feaver.  There is always a special atmosphere during the tournament and the club provides excellent hospitality to ensure that all competitors enjoy their time here.  From 12 noon each day, the bar will be open and we also have excellent snacks on offer for competitors and spectators.  For added convenience we now run all Handicap Doubles events in the evenings from 6pm Wednesday to Friday to allow players with daytime commitments to take part.  THE SOMERSET CLOSED EVENT WILL BE RUN DURING THE EVENINGS FROM 17:00 HRS ONWARDS.

Playing Timetable

Play starts from 11am each day and all Open Men's SINGLES competitors must be available during the day time on the opening day - Wednesday 13th August 2008

ALL competitors must be available to play events from Wednesday 15th through to the finals day on Sunday 19th August

ALL Handicap Doubles events will start from 6pm Wednesday to Friday with semi finals and finals during the daytime on Saturday and Sunday

The Somerset Closed Competition will start from 5:00 pm onwards.

ALL Handicap Singles events will run during the daytime.
