Mental Health Awareness Week: Let’s Make It Every Week

While Mental Health Awareness Week runs from the 12th to the 18th of May, we believe mental health should be a daily priority. Taking care of your mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health—it’s a vital part of living a balanced, healthy life.

So how does this relate to our community?

Exercise & Mental Health
Exercise has a powerful impact on mental health. It releases mood-boosting hormones like endorphins and serotonin, reduces stress, and improves cognitive function. These benefits can help ease symptoms of anxiety and depression, boost self-esteem, and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.

Support in the Gym
Our gym team is always here to support you. If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or struggling with your workouts, speak to one of our personal trainers on shift. We’re here to guide you, offer encouragement, and help tailor your workouts and programme plans to suit your needs.

A Welcoming, Supportive Community
Our gym is a safe space for everyone. Whether you prefer to train solo and enjoy some quiet time, or you’re looking for connection and motivation, we’ve got you covered.

We offer a wide range of group classes—perfect for those who find it tough to get to the gym without a set commitment. These classes are led by uplifting instructors and filled with friendly, like-minded members. If you’re feeling anxious, you’ll find a warm welcome and a sense of ease in our group settings.

The Mental Health Benefits of Racquet Sports
Racquet sports like tennis, pickleball, and badminton are fantastic for both physical and mental health. These activities combine physical exercise with social interaction and mental stimulation, creating a triple benefit.

Playing racquet sports improves mood, concentration, and self-confidence. The fast-paced nature of these games helps you stay present and focused, which can reduce anxious thoughts and improve mental clarity. The social aspect—whether you’re playing singles or doubles—also offers a sense of connection, teamwork, and friendly competition, all of which are linked to better mental wellbeing.

And let’s not forget—smashing a ball can be a pretty great stress reliever, too.

Space to Unwind
If you need calm and stillness, our Pilates and Yoga classes provide a soothing environment to relax your mind while gently caring for your body. We’re proud to be known as a gym that offers both a social atmosphere and quiet spaces—so you can choose what feels right for you on any given day.

Wellness Spa for Mind & Body
Looking to fully relax and recover? Our wellness spa is the perfect place to unwind. With facilities like the sauna, steam room, heated tile beds, and a monsoon shower, you can ease muscle tension, relieve stress, and take time to recharge—physically and mentally.

Remember, your mental health matters every single day.
Whether it’s through movement, connection, solitude, or relaxation, we’re here to support you—however you choose to care for yourself.
