Recipe : Custard Tart

With buttery pastry and a creamy filling, it's no surprise this dish has become a classic. An English baked egg custard tart is an all-time British traditional tea time treat. This recipe is easy to follow and the results delicious.

You will need:

Tart Pastry
- Flour 225g
- Pinch of salt
- Lemon x 1 for zest
- Butter x 125g
- Caster sugar x 75g
- Egg x 1
- Egg yolk x 1

Custard Filling
Egg yolk x 9
- Caster sugar x 75g
- Double Cream x 500ml
- Whole Nutmeg x 2 or dried
